Speedspace made inroads in the Northern Cape by completing the supply, delivery and installation of mobile modular, prefabricated construction offices to the Kolomela Mine site, previously known as Sishen South, in Postmasburg, for Kumba Iron Ore.

A total of 1700 square metres of mobile site offices included doublewide offices, ablution facilities, container storage facilities, as well as a modular multi-slice prefabricated medical centre and an induction centre, all fully furnished and customised to suit our client's requirements.

The contract was awarded in November 2008, and delivery of the mobile modular offices was due to be completed on the 10th of March 2009. Various delays on site resulted in an extension of the completion date, and Speedspace completed the project well within the required time frame.
