The song "Forty days" was made famous in the sixties by Cliff Richard and the Shadows. It had a special meaning for many a troopie in the army, as well as for matrics having a party 40 days before their schooldays were over. The troopie, of course, was partying because in 40 days his army days would be over and he would be going home!
